Articles with Impact

The Wildcats have broken a 31 year loosing streak? The world will never be the same! Just kidding, no one had this reaction, or at least I hope not. Cassidy Adwell published an article discussing how the Courier Journal spends far too much time on entertaining topics rather than informational ones, and I couldn't agree more.

It is important to have a reliable local news source, and while the Courier Journal has many inspiring and useful articles, it also holds some purely populist articles. Newspapers are meant for informing and creating a voice, not for fake, money making, published lies. Leave it to Buzzfeed for that.

A line that stood out to me in Cassidy's article stated, "In order for something to be newsworthy, it needs to impact a large group of people or state." While I do agree with this statement, I would like to add something; the article must not only leave an impact, but a lasting impact.

The best, most famous articles have traveled through time. What makes them revolutionary is the fact that they will always be relevant and important. No matter when you read the article, it will always be impactful

Cassidy has written a sweeping article, with many stimulating points, including newsworthiness and informational reporting. In conclusion, a profound article needs to affect a lot of people, and for a long time
